Cedar Creek Nursery- Montevallo, AL

Cedar Creek Nursery has many varieties and sizes of shrubs, flowering trees, evergreens, annuals, and perennials. They also have a gift shop and antique store on site that creates a unique and fun  shopping experience.

The Calera High School student got the opportunity to work at a nursery and experience the day-to-day operations of a small, family owned business. A new shipment of fall mums were unloaded, and a fresh layer of pine straw was distributed throughout the grounds instantly boosting the curb appeal of the landscape.

YAiT T Shirt Design Contest

Calling All Artists

The Young Adults in Transition group is looking for a creative design to put on the second official YAiT T-Shirt.

We already have our YAiT logo that will appear on the front, so our artists need to come up with a design for the back.

Drawings can be done on the attachment or a separate sheet of copy paper. (Maybe keeping with the theme of overcoming obstacles or celebrate your abilities.)

Include your name and your school. Send your drawing through the pony system or scan it to Laura/Carrie at SSC by August 19^th.

The contest was a huge success last year, and we are looking forward to all the great entries! J
