Spoon & Ladle- Pelham, AL

The CHS students are back at it, preparing the labels for hundreds of containers of delicious Spoon & Ladle soup that will be going out to area restaurants and grocery stores.
Featured this week:

Shrimp & Crab Gumbo

A classic Cajun favorite with lump crab, shrimp and andouille in our rich homemade roux.

Chicken & Andouille Gumbo

A hearty classic with smoked chicken and andouille sausage.

Old Fashioned Vegetable

A medley of vegetables in our homemade tomato stock. Just like Grandma used to make it!

Lemon Chicken & Orzo

A complex and brightly flavored soup with chicken, lemon zest and tri-colored orzo in homemade chicken stock.

White Chicken Chili

Smoked chicken, homemade chicken stock, and Great Northern white beans give this soup its southwestern taste.

Cheeseburger & Fries

All of the flavors of a traditional cheeseburger with a homemade cheesy chicken stock, all that is missing are the pickles!

Oyster & Artichoke Stew

Stewed oysters, artichoke hearts, sherry, and cream combine for a decadent cajun flavor.

Tomato & Watermelon Gazpacho

A mild and refreshing summer soup with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon, basil, & mint.

Area 41 Pizza, Mt Laurel, A




It's our CHHS student's last day of Work Instruction at Area 41 Pizza. She goes in before the restaurant opens and helps prep for the busy lunch crowd. They have great lunch specials daily from 11:00-2:00.

Spoon & Ladle based in Birmingham, Alabama,  offers soup selections and other specialty foods to restaurants and grocers who seek artisan soup with Southern soul. Our CHS student  helped laminate the top secret recipes that Chef Monty uses to produce their wonderful products.

Shelby County School's Showcase- Shelby County Instructional Services Center

A steady stream of over a hundred parents, administrators, business owners, and members of Shelby County's community came out to the Shelby County Showcase. We were honored to be ask to display our project and give out samples of School House Granola. Our Chelsea High student did a great job meeting the public and telling them all about the Granola Project.
